Director and CFO

Andre holds a B.Comm in Business Management and Information Systems and works as the Chief Financial Officer for QPD. He is currently improving his qualifications and is studying towards B Comm Accounting. Over the years, Andre has developed considerable experience and competencies in the design, development and maintenance of information systems as well as the Learner Record Database. He also ensures that QPD maintains a good relationship with SARS by managing all the financial aspects. His attention to detail makes him the ideal person to maintain all the logistics of the business.

He loves to play musical instruments and will treat family and friends to a wide variety of music choices. Originally from Namaqwaland, he is also a good story teller.

Dries VenterDries Venter

Dries Venter is a registered Assessor and Moderator with various SETAs. He has valuable experience as an ETD Practitioner which he gained whilst working as Director, Personnel Management within the South African Police Services and QPD Consultants where he facilitated various training sessions and conferences. Over the years, Dries has developed considerable experience and competencies in management, human resource management, training and career development as well as labour relations.

He likes travelling on his motorcycle through the Eastern Free State and loves to relax with a cup of coffee or cold beer on the verandas of Clarens’s coffee bars.

Dries Pretorius

Facilitators / Assessors / Moderators

Dries holds a B Comm, HED and is an experienced educator, lecturer and manager. He taught commercial and business subjects for 25 years; was a subject examiner and convenor, and part of management for 7 years. He then left teaching and joined the FET sector where he has been involved ever since. He has extensive experience in administration, planning and organising, budget control, organising seminars and workshops, organising and overseeing marking centres, and guidance of both learners and staff. He has completed training in the Implementation and Management of RPL; Implementing and Organising Learnerships, SMME’s and QMS in accordance with SAQA and NQF requirements, and Outcomes-Based Education. Dries also speaks Zulu fluently.

Dries has been an associate of QPD for 8 years and is a qualified assessor and moderator. He is registered as an assessor and moderator with t he ETDP-SETA; W&R SETA and LGW-SETA. He has facilitated numerous workshops and is involved in assessments, both on-site and portfolios.

Dries is married and has three children; he and his family enjoy camping and the outdoors and in his spare time he does woodwork.
